The preserved ecosystem is quite rich with plants and animals typical of tropical forests. Standing on the top of Da Bia Mountain, you can see famous landmarks such as: Vung Ro, Deo Ca, Bai Bang, Bai Mon – Mui Dien, Hai Dang, Nui Hiem, Bien Ho, Dap Han, Van Phong Bay (Khanh Hoa) …
Since ancient times, Da Bia Mountain has been considered a sacred mountain with the name Lingaparvata (meaning Linga – the great mountain god, the incarnation of the god Siva in the beliefs of the Cham people), in ancient Chinese books, the Chinese character is transcribed as Lang-gia-bat-bat-da. Da Bia Mountain is associated with many stories and legends. Especially in 1471, it is said that when King Le Thanh Tong, on his journey to expand the territory to the South, when he came to this mountain, he had words carved into a large block of stone on the top of the mountain. From then on, the mountain was named Da Bia Mountain or Thach Bi Son.
In 1836, King Minh Mang had the image of Dai Lanh mountain range (including Da Bia mountain) depicted on Tuyen Dinh, one of the nine bronze cauldrons located at The Mieu in the Imperial City of Hue. Around the middle of the 19th century, a high-ranking mandarin of the Nguyen Dynasty, Phan Thanh Gian, when passing through the Deo Ca – Da Bia mountain area, wrote a poem in Chinese characters that was translated as follows:
The rock at the top of the mountain is erected The towering height in one direction The Han column is divided into banks The enemy is chased away by the Duong carriage The seal script is clouded with ink The meritorious mandarin reflects on the mirror Touching the stele of the person who has passed away The traveler feels pity.
